Daily Horsemanship Demonstrations – 10:00am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm
Justin is a horseman from Queensland, Australia who is passionate about educating and inspiring people through effective horsemanship. Justin considers himself fortunate to spend his time travelling Australia and abroad conducting horsemanship clinics, presenting at expos and trying to find new and innovative ways to educate people about horsemanship.
Justin has been riding since he was a child and from a very young age has felt an affinity with horses. During his early 20’s he began advancing his horsemanship through working for several cutting and western performance horse trainers in Australia. He then spent some time working as a lead performer in the Australian Outback Spectacular on the Gold Coast. Justin then went on to complete what he calls his ‘horse training apprenticeship’ under the world-renowned horseman & clinician Ian Francis, where he learnt the feel and timing required to develop confidence and a true foundation on a horse. After his year-long training with Ian, Justin opened his own facility and went on to train and show horses professionally winning several state titles throughout Australia in western performance, reining and cutting.
After starting and training horses for a wide range of disciplines Justin found there was a thirst for knowledge in the industry where horse owners wanted to learn the training process and be educated in horsemanship not just get their horse trained. This is where Elite Horsemanship was born. Justin maintains that he is always learning and growing as a horseman and recalls the statement he heard early on in his career “When it comes to horses, if you think you know it all, you know nothing”. Justin hopes to inspire and educate people through his horsemanship demonstrations at Farm Fantastic and is looking forward to meeting some new friends to share this horsemanship journey with!
This year’s event will feature never-before-seen cattle work demonstrations, alongside the ever-popular ridden displays and training.
