Most people assume that a horse trainer spends the majority of his time with horses. The fact is that in most cases they spend most of their time training the people because they are the ones with doubts and bad habits.

Nationally recognized trainer, Justin Colquhoun says that the big challenge is more often to get the rider to work with the horse and develop a partnership. This is especially important if they use a horse in a working situation. They need to trust each other and work in unison.

“I get the opportunity and privilege to travel Australia and the World helping people to improve their horsemanship skills and conquer their fears around horses. I get them outside their comfort zone, grow their skill base and achieve their own personal goals in regards to riding, whether it be for pleasure or for work.”

Horse riding and training presentations and demonstrations will be held throughout the Farm Fantastic Expo on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
