Claire Bickle | Backyard Living Presentations

Claire Bickle will be hosting daily presentations on the Backyard Living Presentation Stage during the 2018 Farm Fantastic Expo.

ABOUT CLAIRE:

Claire Bickle is a qualified Brisbane based horticulturist, having a Diploma in Horticulture and an Advanced Design Certificate in Permaculture Design. She has worked in multiple areas within the horticultural industry for over 20 years.

Claire is currently the vice president of The Horticultural Media Association of Qld. She enjoys delivering Sustainable Living Seminars for the Brisbane City Council, being a guest speaker at many different Queensland gardening events and expos, presenting on the ABC612 radio – Chook Talkback and Gardening Talkback, presenting on the community TV gardening show Blooming in Brisbane and writing for many horticultural and sustainability publications such as, Earth Garden & Good Organic Gardening.

Her passion for everything horticultural stems from many a childhood day spent in the company of her grandmother, an avid gardener and plant lover. Having lived on an acreage for the past 20 years, Claire enjoys pursuing her love of nature and sustainable gardening in a subtropical climate by growing with her family their own organic fruit, vegetables, herbs and the meeting with the challenge of blending this in with the surrounding environment and with her other plant passions, natives and flowering perennials. Over this time Claire has also become a successful breeder of various types of purebred poultry.
